Thursday I got to help my customer out as he needed to replace a leaking front crank seal on a N52. The serp belt was in good shape on this one (it didn’t get sucked in) but the seal was just leaking all over the front. Here is a pic of the tool to remove the seal installed up on the crank before we removed it and my customer as he’s removing it.
Here is a video of the final removal.
The whole operation took a little over an hour. Make sure you use the correct locktite on the install! This tool is a great time saver.
Here is an example of what you have to look forward to without the right tool. This customer picked the tool out with hooks and screwdrivers and it took him 3 hours.
